Kanakna’s newest production is called “Uit het leven gegrepen: 16+”, it’s about some kids (about 18 years old) in their final year of highschool. They are shooting near Brussels and the last episode is about a party which they are going to shoot in JH Barcode (our local Youth Club)! Afterwards there’s a big BBQ and an afterparty, I’ll be there

Dieter (aka Gieter aka Ice) heard something on Studio Brussel about people looking for a Youth Club to shoot a program. He called the president of JH Barcode (gdzilla, you can find his blog here)

For those of you who never heard about Kanakna, I’ll give a quick intro. For the whole story you might be better of visiting their site, it’s very usefull and clean (if only more sites were).

Kanakna is a production company founded in 1993. No, 12 years later it is 1 of the 3 leading production companies in Belgium. It all started with the program “NV De Wereld” on één (BRTN back then, and BRT, and VRT). Here are some other programs they created and that you will most likely know about if you’re a Belgian:
